About Me

"Work hard, do your best, speak the truth, assume no airs, trust in God, have no fear"- Harry Truman

My name is Stormi Lancaster and I am from a very small town called Mobeetie, Texas. Luckily home isn’t too far from here, only about an hour and a half, so I am blessed enough to get to see my parents and little sister, Larami, who is a sophomore in high school, quite often. I graduated from a very small high school, Fort Elliott, where there were only 13 students in my graduating class. Coming from a small community has helped me in many numerous ways. Being from such a small and close community has made me appreciate how important relationships are with anyone and everyone. I still go back home today to realize that almost everyone in the community has kept up and followed my volleyball career here at WT and still are very interested in what I’m going to school for and how I am doing. One of my weaknesses though is that sometimes I can be very shy and not communicate very well. Being from a small town I already knew everyone so didn’t really have to meet new people very often. Since I’ve been at WT and on the volleyball team this has been addressed and I have definitely had to work on my communication skills and not be so shy around new people.
